i think it was about 3:30 by the time we got to the venue and parked. i got dropped off around the back where the band usually comes in. we waited around with about 8 other people for a couple of hours with no luck.
ok so we went in again when the doors opened and got our great looking posters.
we talked with a few other people before going in. we scoped out our seats (section a, row g, seat 31, 32) which were not bad, but no where near as good as the night before and i kinda enjoyed being in a different possie with a different fan level (very casual).

the kings again rocked the place. tonights crowd was a bit different but the same people down the front as the night before started to get the crowd going with some claps, and i did the best i could with my section and people around me. after KOL i realised how sore my throat was and how bad my voice was after the pervious night.
once again i got so excited when master/slave came on. it was so long i couldnt wait any longer! Bang! PORCH! yeah! loving it. slow intro works well. the only drawback from this as an opener was having a shorter breakdown/solo/improv. straight into animal! 1 2 3 4 5 against one 5 5 5 against one! one of my favs of vs. great to finally hear songs like this. SPIN SPIN! spin the black circle, didnt expect this at all. it was a very welcomed surprise though! what a rocking way to start a show, even if the crowd was different than the night before because there was no 10c section. hail hail, in my top 10! such an emotional song for me. loved seeing it in 2003 and loved seeing it again in 2006. DTE, rocked once again. "this one's called nothing as it seems" my god. there was a thread on the pearl jam forum about immortality and NAIS not being played enough. well adelaide got both! sucked in! people say its a crowd/momentum stopper but i really didnt think so. mike fuckin ripped it up, he made that guitar sing so beautifully! Love Boat Captain. loved hearing this! boom! all you need is love, love, love..... nice. great to see a few different songs already so early in the set! i was pumped. now it was time to hear what was left from my list of songs i wanted, throw your hatred down. now although the crowd didnt know it (mostly) i still fuckin enjoyed it. neil is a legend. the boys rocked on it. it was a highlight of my 2 nights, especially stones solo after the first chorus! that was so neil like, it rocked. i really coundnt believe it! WWS, not much to say about this again. it is a good song live. Severed hand again. yeah it still rocks but i didnt need to hear both WWS and SH both nights, still nice though. half full. its a song i dont like that much on the album but live it is amazing. great guitar work from both mike and stone. and something i forgot to mention from this night and the last, was jeff. he rocks harder than any of them! and he can jump so high! during half full ed grabbed his guitar with the shinny scratch board and shone a light around the venue on the crowd, it got them up quick. "we're doing a few tonight that we dont usually play" said ed as stone started thin air! what a beautiful song. MFC, whats another word for rocked! oh well it just rocked, i love the intro, nothing better. "here's a toast to the present" present tense *crys* another i really wanted to hear... and got! i felt so lucky! those first few notes from mike standing next to ed were amazing. the crowd sing along was cool although most people didnt know it it was sung loud. matt fucking cameron. he really improves this song IMO. the drums coming in during the second verse are great, takes the song from a rather slow song to a crowd jumping up and down song. the end was also great. Not For You. wow. i never really thought of this song as a rocker but after seeing it i really understand it. a great modern girl tag at the end. small town. was nice to hear, really pleased the crowd, but later found out it replaced rats! damn. E/ Flow. great song. crowd was into it big time. floor was jumping up a lot!
encore. i realised later that the main set went from ten to self titled and back again. who would have thought ed would play around with the set like that in adelaide! i think ed was rewarding us from last nights show and crowd. he loved us. saying something like "fucking beautiful." i really think the band love adelaide. its amazing.
i saw mike walk out with his double neck gibson. inside job. yeah! also wanted to hear this, great live song too. long and trippy! wasted reprise into b/man. didnt really want to hear this again because last nights complete with no women no cry and save it for later tags was amazing. but it was a pretty casual (still loud) crowd. Crazy mary! BOOM & MIKE!!!!! wow. solos are epic! very epic!! ;-) alive. another crowd pleaser but i loved hearing it again. another nice solo. mike is a genius.
encore 2! what a show so far. them playing a few they dont usually play! so great. ed and the boys came out. ed saying something about "we are going to take care of a few requests" yay! I believe in miracles! yeah! good request. thank you. matt starts the drumming to satans bed, ed says "request number 2" i cant believe i was hearing satans bed! really! man! (warney just bowled pieterson around his legs, go aussies, back to pearl jam though) now blood! fuck does this rock, ed screaming! and i thought he was sick! there was a sigh hanging off the stands, side stage, for rocking in the free world. they started to play it and ed pointed at them. he also gave him a tambourine! lucky! Yellow ledbetter. it might be overplayed but can you honestly say there is anything better to close a show than this song! it was made to close! so beautiful, amazing guitar. a little bit sad because you know your show is over.
wow once again PJ did it for me. it was 2 weeks ago and i am still excited about it :p listening to the boots again over and over it just amazing to relive the experience. the crowd was so good. and the surprising thing was the second night they were good as well! great stuff
